Tarik Sheppard is a former NYPD Assistant Chief with 21 years of experience leading in high pressure, high - visibility environments. As Deputy Commissioner of Public Information for the NYPD, Sheppard led the country‘s largest and most demanding public relations team in law enforcement. He is the founder and former president of the Metro Organized Retail Crime Alliance, which is a public/private partnership between law enforcement, Fortune 500 retailers and prosecutors. He served as the commanding officer of the 28th precinct, in Harlem, led mental health co-response initiatives, and
community outreach units.
